Changing the Way we Experience Life
Life, as we commonly perceive it, is a series of events, emotions, challenges, and achievements. We are taught to measure our experiences by success, relationships, possessions, or pain. But the deeper spiritual truth, as taught by Shivkrupanand Swamiji through Himalayan Samarpan Dhyanyog, is that life is not about the events — it is about our experience of those events. And that experience can transform completely when our inner state changes.
Swamiji teaches that the outer world is merely a reflection of our inner world. If we are restless inside, the world feels chaotic; if we are at peace, the same world appears calm and manageable. This shift does not require changing our circumstances — it requires changing the consciousness with which we experience them. And that change begins with meditation.
Himalayan Samarpan Dhyanyog is not a technique, it is a living connection with the self. When we meditate regularly with sincerity and complete, unconditional samarpan, we begin to purify the subtle layers of our mind. As the impurities leave, clarity enters. Where once there was confusion, there is insight. Where once there was reaction, there is response. And this is the start of a new way of experiencing life.
Swamiji’s guidance shows us that our suffering is not rooted in what happens to us, but in our identification with it. We do not suffer because of pain — we suffer because we think “this pain is mine.” Meditation teaches us to witness, not to attach. As this witness consciousness strengthens, we begin to observe our thoughts, emotions, and sensations without becoming them. This detachment brings immense inner freedom.
Through this path, life stops being a struggle and becomes a flow. We stop resisting and start surrendering. The very idea of control, which we cling to so tightly, begins to dissolve. We realise we were never the doers; we were only vessels through which life was flowing. In that awareness, ego starts to fall away and humility blossoms naturally.
The teachings of Swamiji also stress on the importance of being in the company of the Guru. The Guru’s energy field helps accelerate our transformation. Even if we cannot always understand his teachings with the intellect, the presence and grace of a living Master can awaken the dormant energies within us and help us experience life from a higher plane.
As we grow on this path, our relationships change. We no longer look at people to fulfill us or validate us. Instead, we see each soul on their own journey, and we offer understanding, not expectations. We stop reacting to the surface and start responding from a deeper space of compassion and silence.
In essence, the way we experience life transforms from a reactive, fear-based existence to a conscious, love-filled presence. Meditation doesn’t remove problems — it removes the lens of suffering through which we view them. The problems may still be there, but we are no longer enslaved by them.
Swamiji says, “True spirituality is not in escaping life, but in transforming the way we live it.” And that transformation begins not in the world, but within us. When the inner changes, the outer reflects it.
Through regular meditation, surrender to the Guru, and inner silence, we begin to live — not as victims of life — but as awakened participants in a divine play. That is the gift of Himalayan Samarpan Dhyanyog.
