My Health, My Responsibility

I have been a sports person right since childhood, going out for an early morning run, soaking in the morning freshness while running. The rush of adrenaline as one gets the second breath and just striding on comfortably while others fell back while trying to catch up used to give me a real high. Through the years I have been running, doing yoga, meditating, eating to live rather than the other way round. Unless we control our own diet and exercise no one can help us. We can hire trainers, join gyms, etc., but at the end of the day unless we ourselves decide to lead a healthy, disciplined life there is no one on earth who can really help us to stay fit.

There are so many companies selling diet food, promoting this diet and that diet …. we now have nutritionists telling us what to eat, how to eat while trainers tell us how to exercise, how much to exercise etc. But believe me, in my experience if you follow a healthy regime your own body talks to you and you instinctively ‘know’ what is good for you and what is not. Most of us have stressed lifestyles — work, home, travel, irregular eating hours, eating junk from outside — all this has a direct impact on one’s wellness and wellbeing!

Your body needs detoxification if you feel you are putting on unnecessary weight, you feel that you are filled with gas and the body feels bloated, there is stress, tiredness and listlessness, dull skin tone and so on. Anything that makes you feel not ‘you’ — means the body needs detoxification.

While perusing some of these promos I came across one which was interesting and I actually went through its website and found out that it talks a lot of sense. I am talking about www.zoe.menu. This is basically a health and wellness brand which promotes a healthy lifestyle and has a detox regime built into its products. Their one-day detox actually got me a bit excited because I thought this should really work as it is based on Ayurveda and the principles of fasting which is part of our ancient culture. We all know that fasting is good for us and several religious festivals have fasting as part of their routine. This is because our ancestors knew that in the future generations unless there were religious bindings the people would not fast. So, at least in the name of religion they would lead a healthy life style for that period of time!

Coming back to Zoe — the one-day detox programme gives you 12 products which you have to consume at certain time intervals from 6 in the morning to 10 at night. These products are said to be extremely tasty and scientifically help in detoxifying the body. If anyone is overweight then they can get free consultation on WhatsApp before signing up for their programme. The products are all based on Ayurveda and on the principle of fasting and cover one full day’s diet. You do not have to consume anything else other than the 12 100% natural foods, beverages and use the personal care products in their one-day pack! The best part about this programme is that you do not have to really go hungry at all as this gives your digestive system a break while rejuvenating your mind, body and soul! If you like this diet programme, then you could consult them and go for a once-a-week detox fun programme!

Zoe’s has got a lot of rave reviews from satisfied customers, question is — would you like to add your name to that list? If so, please give it a shot and find out for yourself. Become responsible for your own health!
